Strategic Partners and Institutional Clients
At Seneca IM we appreciate many strategic partners/institutional investors have particular requirements in terms of capital growth, income and risk. Our investment approach allows us to create where appropriate specific portfolios to meet the particular needs of a client.
We specialise in multi-asset investing. This form of investing combines traditional securities, such as equities and bonds, with non-traditional approaches, such as specialist investments to deliver specific outcomes.
Our investment approach differs in that we make decisions using a value investing ethos. We believe this approach makes it easier to achieve client objectives and offers the prospect of superior long term returns and avoidance of permanent loss of capital.
We use this approach to create segregated mandates to meet clients’ needs. All portfolios are constructed around a strategic asset allocation. Building on this foundation, managers use value principles to implement tactical asset allocation decisions and select the individual stocks and funds for the portfolio.
Our value investing approach means that our funds are actively managed and different, both from common benchmarks and from the competition. Successful active management involves finding patterns in financial assets and taking advantage of them.
Performing well for our clients is about finding value and making better decisions than other managers. And that is where you find the value of our approach to managing segregated mandates.
Segregated account clients have direct access to the team which manages their money, including regular face to face meetings. These meetings are supplemented with quarterly reporting. In addition a senior member of staff is appointed client account executive for each of our segregated clients.
